When our pastors preach or read the Bible, they only do so in those languages. Now you’ve told us that God made my language, and He understands me when I use it. I used to think I had to pray in French or Lingala–because I thought that’s all God knew. Now I understand that I can pray in my language!” Her eyes sparkled because she’s found that she can now use her heart language to communicate with her Lord! That woman’s story keeps me going!

“Since I have come to know and experience God’s love and forgiveness over 25 years ago, the Lord has made it my ambition to live for Him. In my case, this has meant among other things, serving Him as missionary since almost about that time. I consider it a great privilege to help fulfill His great commission in my world. As C.T. Studd put it, “If Jesus Christ is God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.” Except, I had none that I haven’t received from Him, that I may sacrifice for Him!”

We often take it for granted, but prayer is powerful and always accessible. Deciding to stop and pray for ourselves or others immediately reminds us that there is more going on than what we see. It is the simplest and most powerful way for us to recognize that God is real and at work in the world.

Sometimes we have events or tasks that require a few extra hands, and we would love your help.
