Mythic Terros Boss Guide - Vault of the Incarnates - Method (2024)

Recommended Setup: 2 Tanks / 5 Healers / 13 DPS

Useful utilities: Druid Roar/Shaman Totem, Warlock Gates and Immunities

This guide has been updated for Mythic Terros Boss Guide - Vault of the Incarnates - Method (1) Awakened in Season 4 of Dragonflight.

With the item level curve of Season 4 and there not being any affixes means that the fight should be quite similar to when it was first released. Any further updates needed for Awakened tuning will be made as soon as possible.

Strategy

Split the raid into 2 groups, Melee and Ranged.

Both groups need to have an even number of players for clearing Infused Fallout. For example 12 Melee’s, 8 Ranged.

This is important to make dealing with Infused Fallout as easy as possible.

Rock Blast

The player targeted by Rock Blast should get close to the Melee group. EVERY player needs to help soak the Rock Blast to reduce overall damage done to the raid.

Most players targeted by Awakened Earth will want to place all of the circles in a clump on the right side of the circle, but 1 or 2 Players should always place their Awakened Earth on the left side. Doing this will reduce the amount of spikes that get destroyed with Concussive Slam and that way reduce the overall damage done to the raid.

Afterwards, the tank will target the stack of Awakened Earth on the right side and destroy them.

Each time the raid moves onto another Pizza Slice section of the room, to dodge Resonating Annihilation, the raid will get 1 additional Awakened Earth spike, thus increasing the healing requirement as the fight progresses.

Infused Fallout

Shortly after you finish dealing with Rock Blast the entire melee camp should go bait the Shattering Impact. You are free to choose which side you want to do it, depending largely on if you are moving clockwise or counter clockwise. It's best to bait in the direction of where you plan to move after the Resonating Annihilation cast. As the circle is created, the entire melee team needs to move together in the same direction, since you will get Infused Fallout cast shortly after.

Important Tip: Moving just outside of the circle and then stepping back inside the moment after it has exploded will ensure no random swirls on the ground force you to split up.

If done correctly, the entire melee camp will instantly clear the Infused Fallout the moment it's applied to them, causing a large damage spike on the raid. Make sure to dodge the small circle created after the clear.

Shortly after (like 2-3 sec) each range player should clear theirs by touching another ranged player affected by Infused Fallout.

Warning: If ranged players do not properly spread and also instant trigger Infused Fallout clear, the damage done to the raid will be too much and several players will die. 2-3 sec of heals after the melee clear is enough to stabilize the raid so that every range player can safely clear their stacks.

If you are failing to instantly clear the melee Infused Fallout, this mostly means that somebody is not stacking up properly, as the range is very small and you have to be on top of others to ensure it gets cleared.

If it happens that you have 1 leftover debuff in Range and 1 in Melee, then you have an ODD number of players in camps. Count the players again and make sure each camp has an even number of players.

Each Mini-Phase (pizza slice) will consist of:

The boss will then cast Resonating Annihilation and the Mini-Phase repeats.

Note: After each Resonating Annihilation the entire melee stack needs to stack up quickly and the Ranged players need to spread. The boss will instantly apply Infused Fallout to all players, which needs to be cleared quickly as it's followed by a Rock Blast cast.

Once you clear the initial Infused Fallout, the fight starts to behave exactly like it did on pull with 1 extra pillar + more dirt on the ground to limit space.

Repeat this until the end. If you have a lack of damage, you might need to avoid the last Resonating Annihilation cast by stepping into a previous one. This will kill the raid very fast, but will give you several extra seconds to potentially kill the boss before it kills you.

Healing Tips

  • Assign heavy raid cooldowns for every Concussive Slam casts that clears the right side of pillars (large clump of spikes)
  • Make sure to stabilize the raid quickly after you destroy the pillars. You will get Infused Fallout cast shortly after.
  • Assign raid cooldowns for Infused Fallout casts as you will need to stabilize the raid for the next Rock Blast set, plus the Tank might destroy 1-3 remaining pillars with his Concussive Slam
  • Circle based healing cooldowns (Barrier, Darkness etc) are best used after the first Rock Blast in each phase on whatever side you chose to go after the soak. This will reduce the damage taken from Tank breaking 5+ pillars.
