    When a pest problem is encountered, the reporting departmental or faculty designee contacts Environmental Services (EVS) or representative listed below with the specific information (i.e., type of pest (if known), department name and location, contact person’s name, and local telephone number).

  • For adjustments to a patient room, office, conference room, lecture hall, laboratory or other public spaces, please submit aFacilities Service Requestor call Facilities Management Call Center at 615-322-2041

  • Requests to a repair/replacement of an indoor or outdoor light submit a Facilities Service Request or contact Facilities Management Call Center at 615-322-2041.

  • To report an ACTIVE LEAK, please contact Facilities Management Call Center at 615-322-2041.

    To report an issue with a plumbing fixture (sink, toilet, faucet, or shower), please submit aFacilities Service Requestor call Facilities Management Call Center at 615-322-2041.

    For a facilities emergency, call the DELTA Operations Center at 615-322-2041. The DELTA Operations center is the medical center’s main control center for monitoring fire alarms, security alarms, and building control systems.

    For a campus security issue (non-emergency), please contact VUPD at 615-322-2745.

  • VUMC Storage and Services department coordinates the moving of items for departments, faculty and staff in the medical center as well as collection of surplus items to be delivered to the Surplus Program. They also handle the set-up of chairs, tables, etc. for special events.

    To request their services, please submit a Facilities Service Request for New Workor contact the warehouse at 615-936-4626.

    NOTE:All surplus computer pick-up requests should be submitted as a Pegasus ticket. The warehouse no longer transports surplus computers.

  • A facilities service request for New Work should be submitted for the removal of any unwanted electronics that need to be surplussed.

  • For both capital and non-capital property purchased withVUMC funds or funds from any external source, the management and control of such equipment extends to its final disposition. For all property that is no longer needed by the initial procuring department, it is VUMC's practice to manage the disposition of the surplus property centrally through the VUMC Storage and Services department.

    It is a violation of medical center policy for any staff member to give or take receipt of Vanderbilt University Medical Center property.

      Biological waste removal

      Is offered on a routine basis for the hospital by the different Environmental Services (EVS)groups and/or Stericycle. If there is a problem with routine biological waste removal, please contact the appropriate EVS group.

      If you have a question about the Stericycle biological waste removal, please contact EVS or OCRS.
