"Ponte del Mare", meaning "Bridge of the sea", is a beautiful place to walk with family and friends, especially during the sunset. The sight of the sea is charming and calming, as blue and deep as a memory.

If you are in Pescara, you just have to walk or ride a bike over this bridge. The view is amazing when you walk on the river and see ships sailing in the distance. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to and at sunset the view is indescribable.

Castle

Sights & Landmarks

Rocca Calascio is an ancient stone fortress that dates back around a millennium, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. To access this beautiful ruin and church, visitors must traverse an uneven path that can be slippery at times. The climb requires good shoes and some scrambling over rocks which may be challenging for those with walking difficulties. However, it's well worth the effort to experience this stunning location that is not overcrowded even in late October.

Awesome place! Not crowded (late October), lovely nearby restaurant. Some scrambling over rocks may be unsuitable for those with walking challenges. No fee; donation box.

Amazing walk and experience to get to the ruins and church. Requires a bit of a climb on an uneven path so make sure you have good shoes. Path can be a bit slippery and the way down tricky so be careful! It's totally beautiful and worth the climb!

Ruins of an ancient castle on top of a mountain with spectacular views over the surrounding mountain ranges and nearby villagea.

Maks K — Google review

Very stunning castle ruin ,even the drive up the mountain was incredible. You can't drive right up to the castle, you either have to walk the 4 kms to it or take a bus from the village below. It costs 4 euros roundtrip per person. Some of the paths around the ruins might be a bit tricky for some people. The old Borgo close to the castle has several places to eat or have a drink plus some gift type shops.

Harald H — Google review

A must see if you're in the area. Stunning 360 view of the mountains and valleys around, and of course the impressive fort and stone building around. It's a short hike up the hill from the highest parking lot, so don't be afraid to drive up the narrow (asphalt road, not dirt). On the way up you can also walk around the ancient village and enjoy some bars and restaurants, however most places seem closed or deserted.

Ori G — Google review

Gorgeous, but be careful and dress yourself appropriate and good shoes for trecking. It's super beautiful and worthy it.

Julia M — Google review

We went as a start of a loop walk. It's an interesting drive up to the ruin. There are restaurants just below the summit.

Malcolm L — Google review

Great place and great views from top to the surrounding countryside. No ticket needed. Therr is shuttle bus from parming down in toen, or could better walk and do something for your wellbeing :-)

Michal S — Google review

Great hike up to this castle with amazing views! Bit windy when we went, but kept us from overheating. So I'm the village of 4 people for a bite to eat and a drink. Lovely family!

Bonnie H — Google review

really nice place, me and my friends visited in a Saturday.after a 1. 45 hour car ride from Pescara, we arrived.to get to the castle we then had to walk another thirty minutes.the entrance for visiting the inside of the castle is totally free, and the view from that is incredible.a little further down from the castle there is a church.for me the best time to visit rocca calascio is mid afternoon.

Anita — Google review

Stunning views, it was a bit chilly (April) and there was some snow. Me and my friend were surprised that there was a restaurant up there and a souvenirs store.

Diaranice R — Google review

Beautiful castle with stunning views of the surrounding area. It’s more remote than you might think. Absolutely worth the hike up to be inside the castle itself. It’s incredible to climb around in this piece of history

Jared S — Google review

A magnificent view near the castle!!Worth every step up there

Nadine H — Google review

Beautiful place. Try to be there just b4 sunset so that you enjoy sunset and see the castle ruins all lit up. Free to enter. There is a bit of an incline to arrive.

Shirley V — Google review

Beautiful castle remains! We went up a 45 minutes hike, easy to moderate level. There are many bars and souvenir shops on the way to the castle ruins. There is also a cathedral with historic significance. The views from up top are 100% worth the hike 📌

Mehak S — Google review

It's an amazing place. The hilltop commands stunning views on the surrounding hills and you can see the high peaks of Gran Sasso in the distance. Both times I went the sunset was amazing, with the red disk sinking over the mountains and casting shades of orange on the castle and the surroundings.I went up to the village just prior the castle with the car at 19:10, around the end of August.

Giuseppe O — Google review

Stunning scenery and definitely worth the effort. You can walk up the road to the top from a small village which takes about 40 mins, or you can cycle or drive up. Once up the top, you can continue walking along the mountain ridges or rest and take in the views. It wasn't too busy when I went, but that was a weekday, so I presume weekends will be rammed.

Shmuel B — Google review

Water park

Water & Amusem*nt Parks

Flume & tube slides into splash pools, plus loungers & umbrellas to rent by an outdoor restaurant.

Fun place to visit with the kids, tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the desk. Whilst you’re there I’d recommend hiring a parasol for the day, they can be hired for €5. Simply take your tag and attach it to one of the unopened parasols (each comes with 2 deck chairs.)Swimming caps are mandatory for the pools but not the slides. Comfortable polyester caps can be purchased inside for €2.50 each.If you have valuables there are plenty of lockers at the entrance point, a non-refundable €3 deposit and a valid form of ID is required. It’s easily accessible so if you need to fetch your wallet it’s not a problem after you’ve been swimming.Food and drinks are good, wide range of different items available. You’ll need to purchase them at a ticket desk in the middle of the cafeteria (2 ticket desks are available) once purchased you take your ticket to the counter to collect whatever you’ve purchased. If you have different items such as coffees, ice creams, pizza and sandwiches you’ll need to visit each one to collect them. Service is speedy and the food is good considering the price.

Tim H — Google review

Overall a nice experience.Tips:- Parking is free- Go in the morning. Arrive before opening to avoid queuing and enjoy more time at the site- Ideally buy your tickets online- Don't pay for an umbrella: there is an orchard on the hilly side of the AcquaPark with shade from the trees where you can grab a spot if you arrive early- You can bring your frigorific bag/box with lunch and cold drinks to avoid the high prices at the cafeteriaThe rides are nice, but prepare for queues of up to 30 mins on busy days on some activities. 😔

Olivian O — Google review

Totally overcrowded place. Better to stay at the sea coast. If you like to wait for each water slide for 5-20 minutes then it is the right place for you. Too many totally chaotic lifeguards. I have visited with my family many aqua parks in Germany and Austria and we never had so many interactions with lifeguards, and haven't feel unsafe. Organization at the slopes could be definitely improved.

Jan K — Google review

the best acquapark in the region. A lot of slides and fun. Big pool to relax and great sundeck area with chairs and umbrella. Clean and well kept.

Cinzia P — Google review

Great waterparks, some cool waterslides also for small kids. At the end of June there were almost no people there. There is room for improvement in the food.

Alexander S — Google review

Full of people! You need to wait in a queue for a long time to go to slides. Entrance ticket is not covering lockers cost, it needs to be paid additionally! For entering to each pool you need to have a hair cap, which we didn't know and had to buy there. For lunch there are just 2x cashier to pay, hence veryy long queue. Its ok in general but nothing special.

Shahrzad Z — Google review

This is one of the top places to go with your children. There are umbrellas that you can book for the whole day, they cost almost nothing, otherwise there's an area which is free , an open area surrounded by trees. There's a restaurant inside or you are welcome to bring your own food from home. Theyve added a new area for children as young as 12 months.

Chandice C — Google review

Nice waterpark with many attractions. Well organized. Clean. Big parking. Just the reservation system is a killer - they ask you to provide so much information that you can really easily get discouraged to go to the park (e.g. why do they need to know where I was born?)

Justyna P — Google review

I highly recommend this water park! Worth the price and had so much fun. The queue to get in was not long at all. Great family activity!

Martina F — Google review

Overall, the water park is quite nice. It is clean, the equipment is in good condition, and the food is affordable and tasty. The most unpleasant part of the visit was the queues. We went on a weekday, arriving at around 10:30 AM, and the queue at the ticket counter was about 35-40 minutes long. Additionally, the queues are not clearly marked with dividers, and the whole process feels disorganized. There are groups of people trying to cut in line. The wait times for the slides are also quite long, easily up to 20 minutes. It would be helpful to implement an online ticket purchasing system and an express lane for entry. Furthermore, some improvements could be made with the lifeguards, as they tend to delay giving the command to the next person even after the previous person has already slid down and left, causing a delay of about 10-15 seconds for each individual.

Robust Italian pasta, meat & seafood dishes on a wide stone terrace overlooking the city & the sea.

A beautiful place that I have known for many years. Two things are impressive: the service and the location of the terrace. The wine list is comprehensive enough and the food is good. Of note, tortellini with veal and truffles. Reasonable prices. In conclusion, a place worth visiting by any tourist in the area.

SchM — Google review

Impressive comfortable location. Refined cuisine though the menu should need reorganizing for better clarity. Service is speedy and friendly, but not too professional: in particular, welcoming guests needs better organization. Prices are moderate.

Nice place to lunch at nice weather - relaxed atmosphere, food is delicious, service is not fast (they were busy at Sunday), but friendly, wine and food is at reasonable price for that location.

Volker ( — Google review

The place is beautiful, but yhe table we were on was in front of the store rooms and steps onto the tower. They should have taken that lonely table away.Regarding yhe service, we felt we were rushed. No sooner had we finished one course and the next was serviced. Several times they came asking if we were finished eventhough we hadnt had our coffees yet. They wanted the table back.Regarding the food: we had spagetti gitare with tomato sauce and secondo was sliced beef. Both not special.Maybe because we came in August the total bill was way more than we expected. But eventhough the setting is stunning, i do not think I will go back.

Casa Leopardi, the birthplace of poet Giacomo Leopardi, is a renowned museum in Recanati. This historic attraction boasts a vast library and captivating exhibits that offer insights into the life and works of the esteemed poet. Guided tours allow visitors to explore the house where Leopardi spent his childhood, including his beloved library, which houses an impressive collection of twenty thousand books that played a crucial role in his studies.

An amazing place with beautiful park next to it that has beautiful landscapes.

Vladyslav — Google review

Of all the things suggested in the ticket the house itself with the library is the only one worth visiting. However you cannot take pictures there which is a bit of a shame nowadays

Vincenzo R — Google review

To be honest, one would not even bother to go in if it were not for the Leopardi name. That said, we truly enjoyed the tour of the library and the personal quarters on the second floor. The tour guide was helpful and well prepared and made our tour interesting and fun. I personally would not buy a separate ticket for the museum. Enjoyable visit overall

Simona B — Google review

The whole area is breath taking, I am not and will never be a fan of Leopardi (probably due to secondary school studies!), but by visiting the premises help me to understand the character, I am sure he had a tough life, despite being a wealthy guy, hence the production of his poetry. Visiting his house and the surrounding places really helps to understand him and if possible to love his work, personally I have re evaluate it completely! Also I must say that the passion of the guides when explaining and the help and support they provide is astonishing

Giulio D — Google review

There is not much to add: if you are in Recanati (or just visiting the Marche countryside), you can't forget to pay a visit to Giacomo's house. The biblioteca is an amazing travel back in time and the place where his poetry is born. Highly recommended.

Basilica

Church where, according to tradition, the Virgin Mary once lived.

Such a beautiful Basilica!! It is definitely worth seeing. It is also well worth taking the time to walk around and see the incredible views.

Rene G — Google review

How could anyone give a bad review? Whether you are a believer or not, this place is beautiful. My husband was especially happy to visit since he is an airline pilot and the lady of Loreto is the patron Saint and protector of aviators.

Amorena S — Google review

Somehow a very special place, I recommend a visit easily reached from the motorway as your heading south. It's a plane of pilgrimage for so many people and deserves to be treated as such.

Richard M — Google review

I spotted the basilica from the motorway. I had no idea of the historic significance. I have zero religious inclination, but as a world traveler I always enjoy a beautiful basilica. And it never ceases to amaze me how much significant people place on these buildings with over the top ornate decoration.

Scott — Google review

Beautiful church with some interesting stories and art. Take some time to read about the history of how Jesus home came to be in Italy and see if you find the astronauts painted there as well. No entrance fee and in feb almost no crowds. Well worth a visit.Oh also one thing, it says no pictures allowed inside.

Gabriel H — Google review

Several blocks from the beach. The room has a nice balcony with tables and two chairs that overlooks the city. Includes small refrigerator, microwave, 4-cup coffee pot and hairdryer (tv, alarm clock as well). Full bottles of shampoo, conditioner and bodywash are attached in the tub/shower. Beds are comfortable.

Absolutely stunning sanctuary with an iconic interior. Place was empty when we visited and felt magical to experience in person. Even if you are not religious, this place is truly worth seeing

Arthur B — Google review

Since its completion in the 16th century and possibly even earlier, the "Holy House" of Loreto has been numbered among the most famous shrines of Italy. Loreto is a small town a few miles south of Ancona and near the sea. Its most conspicuous building is the basilica. This dome-crowned edifice, which with its various annexes took more than a century to build and adorn under the direction of many famous artists, serves merely as the setting of a tiny cottage standing within the basilica itself. Though the rough walls of the little building have been raised in height and are cased externally in richly sculptured marble, the interior measures only thirty-one feet by thirteen. An altar stands at one end beneath a statue, blackened with age, of the Virgin Mother and her Divine Infant. As the inscription, Hic Verbum caro factum est, reminds us, this building is honoured by Christians as the veritable cottage at Nazareth in which the Holy Family lived, and the Word became incarnate. Another inscription of the sixteenth century which decorates the eastern facade of the basilica sets forth at greater length the tradition which makes this shrine so famous.

Cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

The Cattedrale di San Ciriaco is a serene and peaceful destination during the autumn season. It boasts a 13th-century dome and an entrance adorned with granite lions that overlooks the port. The interior of the cathedral features simple yet elegant designs, while its crypt showcases impressive stonework. Visitors are encouraged to climb the stairs for breathtaking views of the surroundings instead of taking the unremarkable elevator. This beautiful church offers free tours and has an intriguing history worth exploring.

Such a beautiful church and again a beautiful view over the port and city 😍a must see when visiting Ancona

Carmen A — Google review

The cathedral itself is quite nice, but nothing very special. Maybe there are some historical arts, which I didn't know. To the museum I haven't been. It was closed when I was there. Better check online if this is on your bucket list.I propose you walk the way up from the coast side. On the way you find a lot of great views to the harbor and the city. At the Dome also is a panoramic terass. It's worth to walk up the hill!

Andy E — Google review

It is worth the walk up to visit this cathedral and their is a free lift that takes you some of the way, but their are lots of steps and steep slopes. You can drive up as parking outside. Their are views of the port and over the city roof tops. The entrance looks impressive with huge stone loins outside guarding it. Inside is a lots of treasures, beautiful huge art works and lots of lovely marble and pillars. The font was very modern and simple. The floors and ceilings were very colourful. Their was plenty of dark wooden panelling and stone carvings and 2 crypts to go down. The one had 1 euro donation. Their was also an information board and it was very well maintained. Outside is a museum which was closed so dont know what it was about and also a tower to which was no access.

Beautiful spot to gain a magnificent view over the harbour, Ancona old city and the sandy cliffs.Behin the "duomo" there's a very quiet and nice park with marble bench, perfect to relax in the sun.

Simona P — Google review

Nice cathedral on a hill overlooking the Ancona harbour. You can see the dockyards very well as well as the bell towers and buildings in the downtown core. Inside, the cathedral is very nice and contains a large amount of history worth seeing and learning about. There is also a surprising amount of human bodies parts and a body in the museum portion under the main auditorium.

Dorian M — Google review

Quiet and solemn place in fall. The dome inside is simple yet nice ans the crypt has some nice stone works. The view outside is pretty nice. I recommend to walk up the stairs rather than taking the elevator which has no nice view at all.

The Paper and Watermark Museum Fabriano is located in a former monastery and is one of the most significant museums in central Italy. It offers demonstrations of handmade paper making, showcases watermarks, and provides courses for those interested. The museum presents the authentic story of Fabriano within a captivating setting, where visitors can explore the history, tradition, culture, and resourcefulness of the city through the art of handmade paper processing.

This was a very educational and creative experience, guides are amazing is a small museum but is a ton of information that you receive in a very natural way

Pam P — Google review

We came across this as we wandered away from the touristy area. We had Ehma as our guide. She had us mesmerised by the history of the ancient art of paper making!!. A must when visiting Amalfi.

Matthew R — Google review

A must-see in Fabriano, being the first town in Europe to produce paper, it has a great history. The museum itself is easy to reach, set in abeautiful ancient and well kept building, with any kind of facility for disable and has a video in English to explain what you are going to see before you start.

Ornella B — Google review

Nice museum with many interesting exhibits and a fascinating history behind it. We did not really feel like having a lengthy guided tour, but labelling of many exhibits was lacking. It could be greatly improved with some more printed explanations for those who wish to see the museum at their own pace.

Asher B — Google review

Very interesting place, good for families. English excursions not every day. Still worthy to visit. We have got a pleasant workshop for kids and produced a souvenir with own hands.

Marfad N — Google review

Amazing morning at the museum. We didn't book ahead and we probably should have. School groups were touring on the same day so when the guide finished with them, he offered to take us around. His English was limited but we managed and he was so kind to take us around. He showed my 6-year-old how to make paper and let him try it out. Highly recommended activity for families. I suggest to plan better than we did and go when there is an English tour so it's even better. There's a great playground and park across the street where you can do a picnic after.

Shara E — Google review

I went to the Museo della Carta e della Filigrana for a class field trip and was able to learn a lot! At the museum there is a demonstration of the paper production. It is very hands on and you can make your own sheet of paper with the help of the guide. We were able to go to different rooms and look at different machinery. We also learned about money and how different currencies can be easier or harder to forge due to the technique used to make it. Overall it was an incredible experience and I would recommend to anyone!

Nina B — Google review

I went here for a class field trip! It was really cool to see because they take you through their history, you can also actually make paper if you take a tour. It is old fashioned but they show you how they keep up their modern touch. The town surrounding the factory is also very nice. It is totally worth seeing and making a stop at their factory with their excellent guides!

Wynne S — Google review

I went to the Museo della Carta e della Filigrana on a class field trip about a week ago. When we first walked into the museum, you find yourself in a foyer area surrounded by works of watermarks on paper. The tour guide approached our group and she announced that she was ready to get started. Our tour guide, Francesca, was very informative throughout the whole experience and was more than willing to answer our questions to her full capabilities. The first room she took us in, she showed us the first machine that was able to turn washcloths into a flattened paper that people are able to write on. In that same room she brought a colleague and showed the group first hand how to make the paper. They were also nice enough to allow some of my classmates to experience this process with their own hands. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who is interested in this subject. I know I learned a lot about paper making that I never thought I would learn.

Evan T — Google review

My visit to the Paper and Watermark Museum in Fabriano was wonderful. I attended the museum with a group, and our guide, Francesca, was very interesting and wanted us to be hands on when explaining the process of paper making. We were shown not only how handmade paper has been made in the past, but the history behind how it has evolved and how they now produce it. Great establishment, I would recommend stopping if you are in the area.

Caroline V — Google review

Museo della Carta e della Filligrana was a great museum. I visited the museum on a field trip with my university. Paper was born in Fabriano, the second most important Italian paper mill. At this museum you can watch the process of paper production and can have a hands on experience of producing their own sheet of paper! You are able to go through many different rooms containing old paper mills, old paper production, the vats and presses and machinery. To think about the ties it has to marketing and how it has evolved is very important with where marketing is today.

Amazing experience. My tour guide, Michele, was very knowledgeable and painted a vivid picture of the discovery of the caves. His English is great and learning about the formations was really interesting. It was a magical experience and this has been my favorite experience in Italy, maybe even my life. These caves should be one of the natural wonders in the world. Also, the surrounding town is beautiful, you can take a nice stroll alongside the river. Try the dishes with truffles in them! Also, vincisgrassi (the regional version of lasagne) is delicious. The locals are so friendly, but some of them don’t speak English so it’s a great opportunity to practice your Italian! My heart is still in the mountains there.P.S. if you try to get to the Valadier Temple (Tempio del Valadier) the google map location for it is not accurate for the start of the trailhead. You will have to go about double the distance from the caves than what it says (the location of the cave on the side of the mountain). It will be on the right side of the road and about 800 meters from the caves. It is walkable, but a rather long walk on the side of the road to get to the starting point. But, it is worth it!

Jac — Google review

Even though it was quite busy, the visit was well organised. What we did not like is when we bought the tickets, it was advertised that you could follow an audio tour using the app instead of the guided tour.We liked this option as we were with young children a d their attention span for a guided tour is limited, especially in a language they don't speak. When we got up to the entrance of the caves; they said this was not possible and we had to wait an hour (!) for the English guided tour. The guide took a tremendous amount of time to explain each crack and sediment difference so we decided to walk on and tagged along to two Italian guided groups before we were 'caught' and told to stay with the guide. Our round took 1,5 hours; I did not dare to ask how long the normal tour would have taken. The cave itself is nice, well lit and the path is fenced and very accessible even for young children. There is only one route to follow so it's not possible to get lost.

Otto R — Google review

The caves themselves are amazing! The company running them are running a slick operation and probably making a decent profit and in some cases have put profit before customers and this is why I've only given 3 stars... The buses that take you to the caves from the car park are mainly standing space with very few seats, they packed them full and it's a hot and windy road. The most annoying part however is that photos are forbidden, even with no flash. The only reason for this is so they can sell tickets to the photo tour where you're allowed to take photos. There's no pricing for the photo tour online however so I can only assume it's extortionate.

The Palazzo Ducale di Urbino is a magnificent historical landmark in the city of Urbino in the region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The palace is a beautiful example of renaissance architecture and features an incredible collection of paintings and sculptures. The building itself is also quite stunning, and offers fascinating insights into the culture and history of the region. It is well worth visiting for tourists, who can explore its many rooms and corridors with the help of an audio guide.

One of the most well preserved palace of the region and neighbor. Getting inside really gives the vibe of being transported back in the past. By walking through the corridors and rooms you can see beautiful glimpses of Urbino from the windows and the gallery on 1 and 2 floor hold it's ground to the major ones. I have been particularly impressed by the basem*nt and stables. Highly recommended.

The Castle of the Dukes of Urbino is enveloped in an atmosphere of mysticism and grandeur, as if it had emerged from the pages of a centuries-old legend. Its grandiose walls welcome guests with exquisite beauty, as if inviting them to explore the secrets of the past. Once inside, you are immersed in majestic halls adorned with exquisite works of art, each whispering its unique story. The majestic halls and incomparable gardens create a unique atmosphere, as if immersing you in a fairy tale world. A visit to the Castle of the Dukes of Urbino is not just an excursion, it is an encounter with grandeur and beauty that will leave unforgettable impressions for a lifetime.

Spectacular palazzo in a wonderful small medieval town on the hills of Emilia-Romagna.

Dissapointingly meagre collection. A handful of famous paintings in small exposition area in the ground floor. No airconditioning, stifling hot.

Igor P — Google review

Gigantic building filled with art, with helpful descriptions (Italian and English). After a bit you realise that it became opulence for opulence's sake, when for example doors become artworks. However for me the most impressive part were the cellars where the kitchen, storerooms and stables were. They are *gigantic*, mind-blowing big spaces under a very large building.A must visit I think

Peter E — Google review

Drove from Ravenna through hills and beautiful road. Structure located over the hills with having a good overview on the area around. Paid parking is provided in the front and back, which back is bigger and more organized.Facility presenting an art belonged to Renaissance. It is big museum with many paintings, curved stones, carpets, statues and dishes in different stories. Not only a palace, but also a protected city on the hills with narrow alleys with so many steps. At least consider 2 to 4 hours to see the palace and the city.If you rely on English communication, Good luck!

Great exhibition of paintings and sculptures from 14xx - 16xx years. The building itself is also gorgeous. Extra tip for fellow travelers and photographers: Find the tower with the spiral stairs and, if you are lucky enough, you can take great bucket list pictures.

Amazing place, beautiful castle, work of art! I have no words to describe this place, the vibe that you get inside. Definitely deserve to visit if you're in Urbino!

NiKoJlaY — Google review

A great palace, with a couple of Raphael's master pieces, and spectacular views from the tower.

Zongle — Google review

Urbino, a small city with around 15,000 inhabitants, has an ancient university founded in 1506 with around 14,000 students and young people are therefore the majority on its steep streets. The ducal palace is the most important building; the museum houses paintings almost exclusively of sacred art with its typical subjects already seen countless times. For this reason I found the other collections more interesting: majolica, ceramics, etc. The small study and the inlaid doors are beautiful.Don't miss the sign indicating the spiral staircase that leads to the small tower. The construction of the palace began in 1459 as an expansion of a previous residence, that was the period of maximum splendor of the city but due to financial difficulties and the lack of heirs in 1631 it became part of the pointificial state. The rich collections of the ducal residence were mainly transferred to other cities. From 1912 with the foundation of the National Gallery of the Marche, the museum began to enrich the works on display again.

Fabio R — Google review

Absolutely worth seeing in Urbino to admire the works of Raphael, Piero della Francesca and Giovanni Santi. Every detail is surprising, especially the carved wooden doors and the duke's study, a room that gives the idea of perspective and three-dimensionality thanks to the use of different colored woods. A truly pleasant and surprising visit.

This castle houses some exquisite masterpieces which are not to be missed, including important collections of Renaissance art by Raphael, Titian, Piero Della Francesca and more. The castle has a chapel and several rooms, including the ‘Studiolo’, that reflect Duke Federico's interest in Classical and humanistic studies. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998, built for Duke Federico III da Montefeltro.

Gerald L — Google review

Wonderfully preserved medieval town with a fantastic Duke’s Palace and Cathedral. Fabulous views of the palace and city at Parco della Resistenza 10 minutes uphill walk from city centre. Underrated gem that doesn’t make it into many travelers’ itineraries because it has no direct train access, which is also what makes it extra special because there are not many tourists. We tried Ristorante Pizzeria Locanda Del Blasone, Il Cortegiano Ristorante and La Trattoria del Leone' di Lucarini Mauro. All were good but we liked the third one the best. Would have liked to try Portanova and Ristorante Antica Osteria Da La Stella, but both were closed during our visit. No public transport within the city walls. To get there from and to Pesaro, you take an Adriabus (green line) from Pesaro train station to Urbino Park Santa Lucia and then take a 3M bus to Piazza Della Repubblica right in the city centre. To get to Park Santa Lucia, you can check Adriabus from city centre. One possible station to take it is Bivio Galassini. Makes life easier if you have heavy luggage.

The Casa Santi in Urbino is a museum housing copies of many of the famous paintings by Renaissance artist Raphael. The house itself is from the 14th century and is an outstanding example of medieval architecture. The best 4 euros 've ever spent in what is a city of great beauty. Not to be missed.

It is furnished with furniture from different centuries and pictures, mostly copies of important works, but also originals, such as the Annunciation scene by Raphael's father Giovanni in the Sala Grande.

Rupert R — Google review

Leaves a lot to be desired. If you expect to see any works by Raphael, you will be disappointed. There are many other works displayed but not much is offered in the way of explanation and half of them are unlabelled anyway. There are several empty shelves so there is possibly more to see in the tourist season. I would recommend a visit if you are an admirer of the artist and know what to look for. The museum bookshop is well-stocked but virtually only has Italian literature. The entrance fee is 4€.

Gregor G — Google review

Not much original work left, mostly copies, the house itself is nice.

We didn't enter the house, but we noticed something strange.During the day, there is a 'plate' to indicate that this is the birth house of the famous painter. In the evening, the 'plate' is gone. This is a private museum, so it's won't contain too many real work, most work is copy. entrance fee for 3.5 euro, well, personaly I think it's a little bit high consider the content. But in a way, I think it's worth this value since you can experience the track of young artist, and you won't miss the fresco made by Raffaello when he was 14

Aquarium

Nature & Parks

Museum

The Aquarium of Cattolica is a large marine life center with over 100 tanks showcasing a variety of sea creatures including sharks, stingrays, penguins, and otters. Visitors can attend feeding times for these animals while admiring the beauty of the exhibits. While there are some cute programs available at an additional cost, such as animal figures in the gift shop, they may be overpriced and not all animals on display are real.

It is very interesting, especially for the kids. The staff is very helpful (we were late the day when we had the tickets, and they offered us to come next day (for free, cos we already payed once) so we can see all of it and don't need to hurry up.

GodTM — Google review

Two words: Bull sharks. Magnificent beasts. To see them floating around is just mesmerizing. Worth going only to see them. General experience was good also. Nice exhibition of fish, learning new fact and reasonable price.

A little peicey, but personnel is helpful, area big offering shade, good location near parking and beaches.Good for families with kids of different age.Best one is shark building, only bad it's without wheelchair access. The dinosaur outdoor area is good addition. We spent around 2 hours here.

Stefan K — Google review

Kind of rubbish place. I've been literally robbed: 70 euros for 2 adults and 2 children, when something like this is in the UK would not cost more than £35 with a family ticket. The place is for most of its part inaccessible to impaired and disabled person. It's also poorly maintained (rubbish everywhere, gums, ashes) and the staff almost unwilling to work. The entrance was so distressing and unfriendly which I was tempted to run away. The worse of all is that being on holiday I clearly was not having a printer and the guys were kind of not keen to let me in because they were not able to use their scanner on a mobile device. An overall visit could last no more than 2.5 hours, with the best being only the one with fishes. The new entry, built in 2016 is kind of joke, with some posters and some plastic animals.Absolutely not worth all that money. A place like this should cost no more than 7 euro per person.

Andrea M — Google review

Our kids they enjoy the tour, they discover and see other creatures in the world. Maybe they can plant more trees on Meadow its too hot.

Kim M — Google review

This is one of the most popular place in the area so a little planning is needed!First of do not visit the park in peak hours which are between 12 - 15.Come as early as possible or at 16 (plan about 2h to see everything).Buy tickets online to skip the queue.Do not plan to eat here as there are to many people with the same idea, instead you can get food at plenty of restaurants nearby that also have better food.Take your time in the aquarium (blue pavilion) as that us the highlight. People move fast so if you wait a minute you can usually get a great view.Parking can be scarce in the area so if you cant find a spot you can try to park in the streets and walk there.Pricing is a bit on the high end but children love it so it is worth it as long as it is not to crowded. Also buyin online the tickets are cheeper by up to 20%I would recommend visiting the aquarium on a thursday or friday.4 stars as it was a bit pricey and some areas are a bit run down.

We loved the visit. The shark tank is amazing. We watched great white shark so closely. You can get a stamp and return during the day. Outdoor Dinosaur park is also great.

Lan X — Google review

Aquarium Very good although abit disappointing that the walk through tunnel was quite shallow above, so not the full experience of the fish above you. Seemed a little expensive for entry for what was there. Cafe food not that great so take a picnic. The best bit was the looking through the eye of an insect at how they see things, that was amazing 👏

Linda B — Google review

Larger dogs are not allowed, not even with muzzles - but small ones are welcome, that's really nonsense, as larger ones are far more socialised, and everything is easily accessible. As there are many tourists, there could be more english panels with descriptions.Overall the aquarium is wonderful.

Mateja M — Google review

I don’t know if this is just how Italy does aquariums but it’s the first one I’ve visited since I moved here. Very dingy and the animals did not look happy. I don’t know if there are laws protecting animals here but in the states this place wouldn’t be open. The lack of animal care and creativity with the buildings was very upsetting. The only good part was the dinosaur park but then again you can see that in any back yard in the states

It is lovely overall but apart from the fish area there is not much to visit in other halls.with the same ticket you can enter multiple days in the same day, if you wanna see the otters please go early, we went around 4pm and they all went to sleep.Cool place to visit for children but not stroller friendly because there are a looooot of stairs.Try to get the ticket online to avoid a long queue at the ticket office.

Oltremare is a popular park that showcases the intricate relationship between humans and nature. It offers various attractions, including interactive displays, dolphin shows, and bird of prey exhibitions. The park provides visitors with a unique experience through its land and sea journey. Oltremare also features discounted entrance tickets at selected hotels. Language barriers can be an issue for non-Italian speakers during significant events, but overall it's an enjoyable place to visit for both adults and children alike.

Very nice park for families and kids. The main attraction of the park is the show with Dolphins, but there are also shows with Birds of Pray, Parrots, etc. The park is focused on nature, ecosystems, and interaction with animals. For instance, there is a path that take you to see farm animals, and along the path is possible to learn more about the animals and have interaction with them, such as riding a horse, feeding chickens, etc. The central part of the park hosts the Dolphins, and there you can also learn quite a lot about marine ecosystems, bug mammals, etc. In the park, there are a lot of stores selling foods, ice creams, and other interesting sweet things for kids. Overall is a quite a good park for families, and I suggest having lunch in one of the many internal restaurants, and spending at least one afternoon in the park.

Patrik S — Google review

Oltremare it's a must if you are visiting Rimini. I will recommended for adult and children too, you can spend some fantastic hours. The most important shows are the nature show of Dolphins and Bird of Prey. Other interesting place are Darwin, such a lovely wild place..than the tour that shows how plastic effect our oceans and at least if you like u can enjoy and take a canoy. The staff is very gentle and brave. Oltremare can be reached even by bus, (Aquafan Stop bus 58). Advise: organise your visit according to the time of the shows and buy your ticket online. Enjoy it :)

The dolphin show is very good, and the parrot- fly too! Nice place, nice caretakers, it seems that the animals love it here. We bought the combi ticket online.

The show with the dolphins and birds is amazing. Absolutely interesting for kids and adults, if you want to see everything and eat there, you are gonna need to spend 5-6 Hours there. The Personal is friendly, there are shops, restaurants, lot of kids playgrounds, worth every penny.

GodTM — Google review

Generally good and interesting. But it's biggest issue: almost no translation into English (or any other languages) for the bigger events. And I'm not talking about the shows.Nevertheless: it was a good day and our son, 7 years old, liked it anyways.

Daniel Z — Google review

Worth entrance fee for the Shows, Dolphin s Birds of Prey and Parrots, needs refreshing a little but recovering from Covid period, Piadina was tasty though

Andrew W — Google review

This is a great place for family with kids. There is a big aquapark next to it but Oltremare fun park is worth of 1/2 day visit. Come early like 9:30 and you will get parking under the trees and you will be on time for all commented attractions during day. Flying birds show, and a especially do dolphins 🐬 it was fabulous. 25mins show limes which are kind of going from one to the next one. It is definitely possible to spend here whole day.

Michal K — Google review

Amazing dolphins show. Worth seeing no matter what's your age. There is also plenty of other things to do in the park: birds of prey show, tropical forest, ponies, adventure island. We've spent there 6 hours, totally worth the asking price.

Piotr U — Google review

Awesome place for young and old! You can spend here whole day. I don't regret spend any money for this adventure!

An incredible experience, especially the show with dolphins. The program with parrots and birds of prey is also amazing. I recommend it.

Klara G — Google review

Very lovely experience, with great views over the sea..but the best was the food and service. We had fried seafood and tuna tartare which was so tender and then prawn pasta and tuna in pistachio cream crusted which was heavenly. We had such great service, very lovely people who were very helpful as we don’t speak italian. All in all a great time.. We will definitely come back.

Jane M — Google review

This was a beautiful experience with really good shows. We visited during outside of season on Sunday, it was less crowded and we could see all shows twice. This place reserves more recognition, nit to mention that staff was really friendly, you could see that they care about animals, place an customers. Highly recommended.

Emina L — Google review

Beautiful family friendly place for Dolphin lovers, the shows are amazing thou sad that they are conducted in Italian but nevertheless the atmosphere is amazing. Okay

Splendy — Google review

First of all, I would like to talk about the positive things: The park offers a few different shows which are all nice to watch. The possibility to take photos with the animals is certainly a cute idea for the kids. However, the question arises whether it is good to sell the animals for 25€ per photo (?).The dolphin show is of course the highlight of the park. It is also really cute and wonderful. However, at Oltre Mare, special attention is paid to pollution. There are pools filled with water and dirt that can be found in the sea, as well as animals that have been recreated from the garbage that floats in the sea. The sad and impossible part of the whole thing is the following: While down on sustainable and environmentalists is pretended, above the dolphins are kept in captivity. Now, I do not know of course whether the dolphins, since they were small, live there - then again they would probably have no chance of survival in nature and thus it is hardly animal cruelty. HOWEVER, the animals are still tortured. In the lagoon. The children step over the barriers, bang against the glass and provoke the dolphins. With sounds, noise and their hands they stress the dolphins, which according to the animal protection law falls under animal cruelty. And the parents do nothing about it, they even join in.I am aware that there are probably too few employees to post guards in the lagoon, but it cannot be that the animals have to suffer from the inconsiderate behavior of the people.

Annabelle A — Google review

One of the best places I've ever visited, such a beauty, clean, a lot of animals and shows... Certainly worth more than 10 *,and if you are ever in Rimini, or close by, don't allow yourself to miss it, trust me, you'll be missing A LOT!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Darko K — Google review

I cant wait to go back here .. it was really nice and you see animals and shows you don't see here..it was so amazing. The only thing I will say there was a part you collect photos and the attitude of the staff there was really bad all we did was collect our photos and they were huffing and puffing like we were a nuisance no eye contact at all. So rubbish service here. But otherwise all the rest of it was so amazing..

Fiabilandia is a seaside theme park that caters to younger children and features various rides, water games, and a restaurant offering seafood buffet. The amusem*nt park offers diverse entertainment options that both kids and adults can enjoy. Although most activities are geared towards children, there are some thrilling attractions designed for adults. Admission costs 24 euros per person for the entire day, which includes unlimited access to all entertainment options within the park.

There are a lot of entertainments there. Mostly they are for kids but adults can also try. There are some interesting and exciting which should be for adults. The ticket was 24 euro for each person for the whole day. You don't need to pay for any entertainment when you go in. But there are some shops and restaurants that you can buy snacks or so on. I strongly suggest this place to visit at least once. If you go there with your friends it would be more exciting 😉

Yes the attractions are a bit dated but my children didn’t mention it! For sure is less expensive of other Parks and the food served in the restaurant there was not bad!

Best place for a 3 year old on holiday. If you buy tickets you can revisit free of charge the next day, but make sure you collect a wrist band for each of you on the first day and keep the admission tickets so you can enter the next day (you must not take the wrist bands off either or tamper with them, or the park might think you've transferred them to someone else). Amazing place to visit.

This was a pretty good amusem*nt park for the price. It is home of the first Wacky Worm roller coaster which is why we went. It is a great place for family and easily accessible by public transportation.

Daisy P — Google review

Love the park. Yes its old, however a nice day out. In the past the food was good but is now not so good and expensive. WARNING if you have nut allergy, bring your own food as NO food in restaurant is suitable for nut allergy sufferers. DISGUSTING yes, you have to go hungry all day!!!!

Annie B — Google review

Quite expensive, car park need to be paid separately. £24 for an adult meal 17 for child 5£ for car park. All the rides are quite old and dated. Rude staff. We went into a ride with our 2and half years old where we thought is age appropriate and it wasn’t as for all the rides there is no preview of what it is to come and she got so scared in the tunnels as it was quite high speed and shaky and abrupt. She then did not want to use other train rides. On the ticket it says you can use it for two consecutive days and in order to do that you need to let them know at one of the snack station before exit. We went there the lady was so rude and rushed us as she said she needed to close this was around middle of the day… then she asked us to put on some bracelets and wear them until the next day when we will come back for our second visit. I said I do not want to wear it till them as they are quite uncomfortable, if there is not another way she then shouted back saying no if you want to come you wear them and not take them off. I felt really not valued as a customer and would never come back. Not a good value for money at all. There are better park in Italy this is the worst one. If you come back second day you have to pay again for car park. Overall very pricey and not worth the money

What a day! The kids loved it. Tones of rides and we must have picked a good day as there were no lines to get on the rides. They are investing in new rides as they are in construction. Fair price considering everything inside.

Wonderful place for kids and adults. The circus was amazing. Very talented people. Good work everyone. There is lots of fun for all ages, there are water games, it's nice to wear a swimsuit or something to change into if the kids get wet. The fact that the ticket is for two days is also very well thought out. We liked it a lot.

Вероника П — Google review

Great place to spend a day with your kids! Most of the rides were suited for our 2 and 5 year old kids and most of the rides we took with them, which was fun for us too! There are several places to eat and drink. I recommend going there off season like we went at the beginning of April since there was very few people and we felt like the whole amusem*nt park was ours. There was no queue for any ride and we could take as many rides as we wanted in a row.

Ema S — Google review

This place is a great experience for kids and also for the grown-ups who still keep their child spirit, while the others who've lost it might comment on the age of the installations and the exfoliated paintwork here and there. For us, there was great fun visiting Fiabilandia, a 100% functional and well maintained theme park despite it age (just imagine how many generations of children have had fun here since 1965, when it first opened, when a theme park was an unknown notion to many countries, such as mine). Attendants here are friendly and helpful. And don't forget to pack your swimsuit, you'll need it.

Daniel I — Google review

The idea itself is quite nice. But the park looks really old, there are no indications, many attractions creak and scratch, there's quite a lot of rust. Also some attractions are far too slow, for instance the "Fiabilandia express" - what a joke, how come the Express-train moves slower than my 3 year old daughter goes? 😄 same for "Lago del sogno" and some others.Still I would recommend to go there if your children are under 10 years old. Good thing is that you can go once more for free on the next day.

Irina C — Google review

It's overpriced for sure, almost everything looks very used. Reminds me my childhood) Overall, it's good place to spend 3-4 hours, but don't expect much. Lots of attractions for 2-7 years old.

Elena C — Google review

Love the park. Yes its old, however a nice day out. In the past the food was good but is now not so good and expensive. WARNING if you have nut allergy, bring your own food as NO food in restaurant is suitable for nut allergy sufferers. DISGUSTING yes, you have to go hungry all day!!!!

Italia in Miniatura is a theme park that showcases small-scale models of famous Italian buildings, including the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli and Portiuncula Chapel. Additionally, there are models of European structures and rides for visitors to enjoy. The park offers an intricate and accurate depiction of Italy's architecture and provides a unique perspective on the country's history. A visit to Italia in Miniatura is highly recommended for those who appreciate miniature things and have an interest in Italian culture.

Very beautiful park. The miniatures were very impressive and detailed. Good for both old and young - my parents and I had a great time, and stayed for 6 hours at the park. The few other attractions beside the miniature of Italy is enough for a whole day of fun.

Freja A — Google review

We felt like a bit of a change from visiting the beach so we found this place. A little bit outside Rimini we arrived to find ample paid parking (3€ per day). We then went in quite quickly without queues, probably due to covid. We spent about 45 minutes walking around the part of the park with the miniature building from all over Italy which were well made and interesting for us as we have visited many of the places. We then wondered round to see what else the park offered, not much! We took a ride on the Pinocchio ride which took about 2 minutes and the story was told only in Italian and felt very dated. Maybe for very young Italian kids it would be OK. Then we went on the boat trip around mini Venice, quite nice but nothing amazing. We then went for the parrot experience which was 2 large beautiful parrots that sat on the metal cage screaming. Last but not least we took a 5 minute ride on the mono-rail around the park. All in all, I felt that the 22€ price tag was a bit steep and maybe for kids of between the ages of 4 and 10 it might be interesting but other than that pretty underwhelming!

Leipzig E — Google review

Beautiful buildings and models of Italy's and Europe's architectures. Whitin the park there are many attractions, but most if them for kids approx. under 12. There is a miniature Venice, where you can use gondola. The price for the day is €24/adult. I have two problems with the park, first of all: unfortunately the water around the miniatures is full of litter. People : use the bin! And second of all it's a shame that miniature architectural building from Hungary isn't there. I mean there are so many castles in Hungary, not to mention the Parliament..

Laura S — Google review

Well worth the visit. I love miniature things so I had to come see Mini Italy. It was perfect and had a lot more than I was expecting. They also had a mini Europe section with about 5 structures and some rides. Really enjoyed it.

Caroline B — Google review

I am glad we went to visit as it's nice to see. It was quite difficult to keep the kids engaged the entire way around. They enjoyed the small selection of rides they have.Worth a visit but in need of modernisation.

James G — Google review

If you want to visit every famous building in Europe then you can visit this very special park and you can visit Eiffel Tower and Pisa Tower in one day. There is a lot of stuff to look at and you can take photos with the small versions of famous buildings. If you are thirsty or if you are hungry, you can order some drink or food in the bistro.

Jaroslav ? — Google review

We had an unforgettable day at Miniature Italia in Rimini! This place is a true gem, offering a captivating journey through Italy and around the world through intricate miniature monuments. From the Leaning Tower of Pisa to the magnificent Taj Mahal, we explored iconic landmarks in incredible detail. It was like a global adventure all in one place. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and whether you're an adult fascinated by architecture or a kid with a sense of wonder, Miniature Italia is a must-visit. It's an educational and awe-inspiring experience for all ages.If you're in Rimini, don't miss this opportunity to travel the world in miniature. It's an adventure worth every moment!

Benedikt L — Google review

We really enjoyed our time here! Besides the cool overall setup of being able to visit Italy in a few hours and see all these amazing places we still have to explore, we also got the chance to explore a small part of Europe. There are different activities you can try- we took the blie train, "went" to Venice twice and got on the rollercoaster twice as well. It s a pretty cool way to spend your day!

Oana G — Google review

We are very satisfied. All atractions were included in entry ticket except cinema 7D (c. 2,5 €). Food in area cost c. 10 € for menu. Parking for cars is 3 € per day. You must pay the parking at the cash desk!

Martin K — Google review

Great little park to visit with your kids. Buy the tickets online at least 1 day early, it's much cheaper. They have some fun attractions and the miniatures are very lovely.

Joy — Google review

The park is really nice. Kids will love it there. Lots of trains. At the time of our visit they only had one restaurant open, quality good and prices reasonable. I was shocked by the toilets, which are Turkish toilets.

Ihoris I — Google review

Nice thematic park, for adults and children. The miniatures are well preserved (they don't look 30+ years old!) and some of them have also animations. There are also a few attractions like the train going above the park, the water trunks, the Pinocchio's attraction, and a few others. The attractions are mainly thought for children and the place makes learning a fun activity. So it is a very nice place also for schools. It is nice even for adults without childrens, even though these are a minority. The park is relatively small and can be seen in 2 hours with a fast speed and no queues, or it can take up to 4 if you want to do everything slowly. But in general it is smaller than other thematic parks and with less attractions. Even though, it deserves the 5 stars because it is original, educational, and it does not have excessive waiting times.

The T — Google review

Great place. It feels like you tour the whole of italy in 1 visit, there's all needed facilities and restaurant (on weekends it might be busy) at least McDonald's right next door. Few rides also and some stalls (open on weekends) overall, it was really great.

Rudi B — Google review

Interesting, fun, and educational for both kids and adults. Worth visiting! Can be crowded on weekends.

Alena — Google review

I just love this place. I have been to other such theme parks, but this one will remain in my memory the most. More than 300 buildings in perfect construction. A display of history and present in one park. Very nicely decorated, suitable for children and groups. I recommend all parents to take their children to this phenomenal experience at least once.

Simon P — Google review

In good weather it is fun for all the family. Small kids enjoyed the water slides and water "playground" where we had a lot of fun. We checked everything and it was awesome.

Péter D — Google review

So cute and useful! You can find the most important Italian monuments, information about the regions and even a few activities like getting on a boat in “little Venice”!

Isabel P — Google review

We had a lovely day out here. The price is reasonable. There are good food options at the site. The miniatures were well made and the actions were enough to keep the kids interested. The log flume water ride was a nice bonus.

Kugel B — Google review

It was cute, I enjoyed it. But the bus connection between the centre and this park is not very good.

Evelin M — Google review

Beautiful park, small, you can spend long time watching the mini monuments more famous from Italy. They have different rides, some of them are open as soon as the park opens and others later. The train around the park it’s very nice, we really enjoyed and the castle with water guns it’s very fresh and fun. During the weekdays is not crowded.

Diana Q — Google review

If you have kids, you must come here. Such an amazing place. I loved the miniatures, the kids loved the rides which were included in the price 24 eur per person above 140cm. The log ride was the best. Granite 4 eur, coffee 2 eur, lots of food everywhere. I was surprised we almost did not have to wait anywhere. Parking for a campervan 5eur per day, 3 eur per car right next to it. Mc Donalds 10m from the entrance. Come here, you will not regret it.

Irena H — Google review

It's a great place to spend a day in !Scale replicas are very well done, down to the smallest details !Venice is looking much better than in reality. 😁It:s worth visiting, you will learn so many things about Italy, and you can see the places that you didn't visited yet in Italy and in Europe as well ...You can carry out various activities, children wil be delighted !Highly recommended !

Villa Pisani National Museum, also known as the Queen of the Venetian villas, is a canalside villa located in Stra, just outside of Padua. The magnificent castle was built by the Pisani family and later acquired by Napoleon in 1807. It features 114 rooms representing various stylistic influences and boasts a stunning Tiepolo ceiling fresco glorifying the Pisani family.

Marvelous Villa. Once home to the Nobel family Pisani and then later known as the "Royal Villa" hosting many royal families. It now has 168 rooms and a wonderful garden. Many of the rooms can be visited and have wonderful decor from the 1700 - 1800, it will for sure take you back in time. The villa and garden are kept beautifully and will take you about 2 hours to visit everything. Its A MUST VISIT if you are in the Region.

Fran F — Google review

Nice villa to spend max 2 hours there including the gardens. Built in the 18th century for the noble Venezian Pisani de Santo Stefano family. In 1807 it was purchased by Napoleon I, who gave it to the Viceroy of Italy Eugène de Beauharnais. The 114 rooms in the stately villa Pisani once hosted doges, kings and emperors. Now the villa is a national museum that hosts splendid 18th and 19th century furniture and works of art.

Heute, 27.09.2022, war es auch nur sehr wenig besucht.(Translated by Google)Beautiful villa with a large and warm garden. The museum provides insights into the rooms and their ancient beauty. The ceiling paintings are just incredibly beautiful to look at.You can also visit the garden without the villa, but I would recommend the combination ticket, especially since it's not really expensive.Unfortunately, the labyrinth is not accessible at the moment, but that wasn't a problem for me. The view made it all worth it!Today, September 27th, 2022, there were very few visitors.

Lara H — Google review

I really hope this national treasure will be saved from all the damage done by lack of funds. Note that coffee pavilion in garden is also closed. The park is still amazing g even tough some parts are totally abandoned

Deva S — Google review

Magnificent castle built by the Pisani family and later purchased by Napoleon in 1807. The Tiepolo ceiling fresco in the main room, glorifying the Pisani family, is truly magnificent. The building has 114 rooms in honor of Alvise Pisani who was the 114th doge of Venice. The rooms represent different stylistic influences, from 18th century late baroque, to Empire neoclassical style, to later 19th century styles. Magnificent gardens, including a labyrinth, with superb view lines.

Nils P — Google review

Neat Villa that would be great to visit during the greener summer months when guided tours are available. The villa is big with much of the rooms still being renovated to bring out the period elegance. The reflecting pool is nice, but stay away from touching the water...it looks nasty. The villa grounds are okay for the winter months. The highlight of the grounds is the maze. It was fun and challenging. The added benefit of visiting in the winter months is the low number of visitors.

Pheng L — Google review

Beautifull place. Well gardned, Wonderful for spend sundays afternoon.

Flavio A — Google review

One of our favorite stops in Italy! We were practically the only people walking through the palace, which was such a refreshing way to experience a beautiful place in over-touristed Venice. The gardens are lovely and we had a great time in the labyrinth!

Megan W — Google review

Beautiful Villa with a big park. Really interesting to see how the Doge was living,The park has huge magnolias and other beautiful trees, is is very well taken care ofIt is easily reachable from Padova by bus 53E, you can buy tickets from the driver or from the ACTV app (cheaper). On the way back to the bus station do not miss Villa Foscarini Rossi - it hosts a very interesting shoe museum.

Adela A — Google review

Past glory in a miserable state.Fantastic piece of art still reminding us of its past grandeur, hosting original furniture and tapestry (in a shabby state) and lots of work of art.Worth a visit. Take a free guided tour. The guide was excellent and very well prepared. The garden is a beauty -- but in a poor state and badly kept. The long and crescent pools between the Villa and the stable are beautiful. But unfortunately very badly kept. Full of dust.Still worth a visit. Highly recommended are the paintings and the decorations on the ceiling and walls of most of the rooms.I wish the villa could be cleaned, the furniture dusted and the window panes cleaned. The well-known maze was closed. There is a parking lot close to the ticket counter (inside a gloomy bookshop). You need about 3-4 hours to see the fifty something rooms.Very unclean toilets.

Absolutely stunning. You won't expect such an imposing, stately and steeped in history place. The Versailles of Venice I would call it ;) worth a visit and a great place to dig into Venetian and Italian history!

Wilhelm — Google review

The story behind this location far exceeded my experience of this place, the museum was nice to see, the garden was good, but only a part was accessible, while the west side wasn't maintained and closed off, the back building on the end was there just standing empty and barren. The maze was closed and so was the restaurant. Not as spectacular as the Louvre or Palace 'Het Loo'

Cittadella is such a beautiful, small city whose main heart is surrounded by medieval walls. So much history here, hundreds of years, maintained so well. It operates 9-5 during winter and 9-7 during the remain of the year (April-September) and last call is one hour before closing. Estimated time to walk around the medieval walls is about 30-45 minutes. I'd definitely recommend to go around the piazza and the various shops. My favorite time to go is holiday - Christmas! Beautiful with all lights and decorations around. You can find parking right outside the walls.

Giulia L — Google review

Lovely walk around the wall with breathtaking view of the entire city as well as the mountains from distance on a sunny day. Great value for money, non-touristy but definitely worth a visit.

Wonderfully well-preserved midievel wall surrounding this modern day city. Completely surrounded, it's possible to walk around for good views. Entrance at the northern gate. Definitely a hidden gem in the region.

Paul H — Google review

Good Price. The preservation of these city walls is incredible. In a clear day you can also see the mountains which are definitely nice. The problem is that you can see all the citadel and walls at once, so, after a while, the visit feels quite repetitive. Also, for some part of the visit the written informations are not translated into English and in general it is not easy to take something away from them apart from very technical names and historical dates that are easily forgotten.

Massimo B — Google review

Very cool experience of walking the walls! I'm also glad we went during the Cheese fest!

William B — Google review

Amazing town. You can walk around the whole of the wall for a small fee. Very pretty, even in winter.

Awesome visit to the wake medieval city of cittadella! We were blessed with a sunny day and no people so we walked all around the city watching it from above and talking heavily photos. This is the only castle wall that I got to walk all around from up there and see the city within. Spectacular and definitely worth the 5 euros entry fee

Elena — Google review

This is a beautifully preserved little town. It costs 5 Euro to walk the walls. The walk is about 1.5 km long. The view of the Alps in the distance is a very nice bonus. The day we were there was a market going on along the main streets inside the walls. There is parking very close to the walls. You don't need to park anywhere else.

At the Porta Bassano gate it's possible to climb to the top of the walls and walk around them. The cost is €5 for adults (€3 for under 18s/over 65s/students, free for kids under 4).Depending on the time of year the attraction closes between 5pm and 7pm (with the last visitor allowed to enter one hour before). Unfortunately I missed the deadline by 45 minutes! The walls however are magnificent, even when seen from the ground.

Breathtaking! This castle is a must see! You can walk all around and enjoy the 360 degrees views. There is also the entry to a small museum included in the ticket also. The information office has lots of interesting leaflets of other places to visit in Veneto too. The staff was cordial and polite. Dogs are allowed in if kept on the leash, (remember to pick up any mess they make so it stays this way forever!)

Villa by Andrea Palladio on a historic wine estate, for guided tours plus Paolo Veronese frescoes.

Villa di Maser is one of the Palladian villas and the last one to be inhabited by a Duke, the husband of the late Contessa Diamante. It is beautiful, the frescoes are incredible. They make their own prosecco. It is a must see if you are in the Veneto region of Italy

The most magical place in Maser! Not to be limited to a single visit, to be able to notice a new detail in Veronese's frescoes every time. Nice little dogs (the same ones found in the frescoes) welcome visitors, and some cats appear as well (must check behind the sofa!).

Beautiful frescoes - 900 square metres, the owner told us. At least we THINK he's the owner, but he claims the gaggle of lovely little dogs around him are the real owners. Can't photograph inside, but the scenery will give you some idea of the general atmosphere. There was also a small exhibition of modern art on, hence the red ribbon.
